Access

You will not be able to drive a private car on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route for the portion that runs from Tateyama Station to Ogizawa Station. If you are visiting from the Tateyama side, park your car at Tateyama Station and get on the Tateyama Cable Car.
If you are visiting from the Shinano Omachi side, park your car at Ogizawa Station and get on the Kanden Tunnel Trolley Bus.

For Midagahara Hotel, get off at the "Midagahara" stop, found on the route for the Tateyama Highland Bus (Murodo - Bijodaira).

How to Ride the Highland Bus from Murodo (For guests coming from Shinano Omachi and Ogizawa)

From Ogizawa station, take the Kanden Tunnel Trolley Bus, the Kurobe Cable Car, and the Tateyama Tunnel Trolley Bus in turn to arrive at Murodo Station.
At Murodo Station, line up at the "No. 2 Ticket Gate," which is meant for guests who intend to get off partway. Get on the bus for Bijodaira. You should arrive at the stop "Midagahara" in about 15 minutes.
When the bus nears Midagahara, there will be an in-bus announcement. Press the "stop bus" button to let the driver know you intend to get off.

  • During busy periods, there is a temporary bus called the "Bijodaira Direct Bus". Guests to Midagahara should avoid this bus and ride only the buses that operate according to the standard schedule.
  • There will be an announcement from the station staff on such occasions.

How to Ride Highland Bus from Bijodaira (For guests coming from Tateyama Station)

From Tateyama Station, take the Tateyama Cable Car to arrive a Bijodaira Station.
